PPAR α-Antagonists. Inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase activating protein (FLAP). It is potent and selective. It has a high affinity for the binding site of FLAP and inhibits the activation of 5-lipoxygenase. Its IC50 in leukotriene biosynthesis is 2.5 nM for intact leukocytes and 1.1 nM for whole blood.
